Christian Laur on guitars He started at the age of 17 in several orchestras for 9 years. At the same time, he wrote and composed for the stage production Walk Over. For 6 years, with the band Gondwana, he already composed most of the material. Signed by a producer, he prepared a vinyl album that unfortunately was never released. He then wrote a rock opera about Catharism. Later, as guitarist for Orphée, he signed a first album with Musea and took part in the second. In 2013, he founded Quetzal with drummer Denis Louvel. As guitarist and composer, a first album was released on Musea Records in 2024, and a second is now in progress. Daniel Borrego on bass A hard rock fan from a very young age, especially Mötley Crüe and Iron Maiden, he began playing bass at 16 with his first band Black Hole. Arno Richard on keyboards He started piano very early before discovering jazz and progressive rock, a real turning point that led him toward improvisation. He joined Quetzal at the end of 2025. His arrival came unexpectedly, giving him the opportunity to fulfill himself in progressive rock with other musicians. Thierry Lenoble on vocals Passionate about music since the age of 10, he listened endlessly to Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Who, Pink Floyd and Ten Years After. Self-taught, he started guitar at 30 with the aim of accompanying his singing on covers of his favorite bands, but also more folk-oriented artists such as Eagles, America or CSN&Y. The three albums that marked him most were Who's Next, Van Halen I and Dire Straits I. But the biggest shock came at Queen’s concert in Paris in 1978. He would see them 12 times and even took part in the Freddie Mercury tribute at Wembley. Alongside his own acoustic world developed through Acoustic Fire, Thierry joined Quetzal in March 2026 to bring a melodic vocal dimension to the band’s instrumental compositions.
